Huawei held the Cloud Summit 2024 on Thursday, as a beacon to indicate Huawei’s mission to actively work to educate and engage partners in South Africa in an effort to accelerate the adoption of cloud technology.
Recognizing the transformative untapped potential of cloud technology, Huawei aims to not only equip individuals and businesses with the necessary skills and knowledge but to help consumers harness and understand the potential benefits of cloud technology
It was Huawei’s President of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service Jacqueline Shi who highlighted one of Huawei’s key strategies which is to invest in skills development and capacity building.
She confirmed how Huawei offered a range of training programs and certifications to equip individuals with the expertise needed to effectively leverage cloud technologies.
It’s these programs and certifications that will cover various aspects of cloud computing in terms of infrastructure understanding, architecture, and application development.

During the panel discussion where Ms Shi, alongside Stone He, President of Huawei Cloud Sub-Saharan Africa, and Steven Chen, CEO of Huawei Cloud South Africa, it was highlighted how Huawei understood that successful cloud adoption, required collaboration and partnerships.
