The Honor X9C builds on last year’s release of the Honor X9b earmarked as the toughest smartphone. The latest X9C steps up a 2m drop resistance and promises to keep your device looking pristine even after an accidental fall.
The Honor X9c integrates a 6600 mAh Silicon carbon battery, meaning users get about 3.5 days of moderate usage. Looking at charging Honor brings in a 66W supercharge which allows the smartphone to be ready for use from a flat battery in a few minutes.
Camera
The device has a 108MP main camera coupled with a 5MP ultra-wide camera. The selfie camera is 16MP. It’s the interesting features, such as the three portrait modes and Honor’s AI motion sensing and AI eraser, that make the device interesting.
Colours
The Honor X9C is available in Titanium black and Jade Cyan.
It’s the interesting forward-thinking approach that impressed us from Honor. Think of the Honor X9C’s innovative wet hand touch control feature which allows users to navigate through the smartphone without hassle.
So we know it’s a durable smartphone, but does it come ready to carry fast fingers, a large number of images and videos?
The Honor X9c comes in three configurations, 8GB + 256G, and a 12GB + 256GB alongside an option for 12GB + 512GB option. It operates on MagicOS 8.0 on Android 14 an interestingly ideal choice for an adventure head.
While this is our preliminary inspection of the Honor X9c, it is this impression that has us interested. By upping its game on carrying forward a consumer-focused smartphone, Honor does bring to the fore a compelling smartphone.
It’s the smartphones drop, water and heat resistance that has many tech heads attention. Bring the scratch-resistant glass and a resistant shield on the back of the device and you get a device that sells durability matched with style and a long-lasting battery for the modern streamer, content creator, and gamer.
An interesting addition to the X series.
